Service Description

One-on-One Reading Assessment: During the session, your child will be administered the following: Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment, Words Their Way Developmental Spelling Assessment, Fry Sight Word Assessment, and an Orton-Gillingham based assessment with multiple subtest areas. The following areas will be assessed: -Alphabet knowledge -Phonological awareness -Sight word reading -Fluency, including their accuracy and rate -Comprehension, including explicit and implicit questioning -Spelling Before the assessment, you'll have a chance to share information regarding your child's reading and any concerns you have about their literacy development. After scoring your child's assessment, you will receive a detailed report explaining each area of testing and your child's scores. You will also receive your child's reading level (Fountas & Pinnell level and Lexile level), areas of strengths and needs, as well as intervention and/or enrichment suggestions. Further questions can be answered after you view the report. *Please note that the assessment may not take the entire session time or may go over the session time by a few minutes.
